I can help you understand your emotional patterns, make sense of your thoughts and feelings, and make choices that are the best for you. In our work together, I will bring an open mind, a genuine sense of empathy, and an appreciation for the rich tapestry of your life experiences.
About me and my practice
I use effective therapeutic techniques to guide you to a fresh perspective on the issues you're facing. I help you to find positive changes and grow personally. I am passionate about counselling and have gained the knowledge and ability to address your unique needs with care and effectiveness.
The basis of my approach is person-centred therapy, which means you will experience a compassionate, non-judgmental, and safe environment whilst we work together on your goals. This approach means you can freely express yourself, feeling protected, heard, and validated. Additionally, I am an integrative counsellor, which means I integrate elements from various counselling approaches such as CBT, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Art therapy, Transpersonal/Spiritual, SFBT, and others, and tailor the therapy to your specific needs and requirements.
I believe therapy should be easy and accessible for everyone, so my sessions are online for those who prefer the flexibility of remote counselling. Engaging in therapy from your familiar surroundings can enhance your comfort and openness, and allow you to have a more relaxed and genuine conversation.Using Zoom, MS Teams or Google Meet, I offer the flexibility to access therapy from the comfort of your own space. I provide a confidential and supportive space for everyone. Scheduling is convenient, and your privacy remains a priority using these secure virtual platforms.
Experience
I've had the privilege of helping people deal with tough times at three reputable organisations: Cruse Bereavement, Mind, and Advance Minerva. I worked at Cruse for 2 years, supporting people who were struggling with the complex journey of grief, helping them to express and process their emotions. I have been at Mind for over a year, working with a range of mental health issues. I have also been at Advance Minerva for one year, helping women involved in the criminal justice system who come with a host of issues from domestic abuse to mental health, empowering them and helping them regain control and build resilience.
